We had a strong turnout, including some music majors, who came to listen to the fantastic playing of anime music by Hagan Wong. In all it made the atmosphere very open and welcoming. As the first in a planned series of music events, the concert was free of charge. Lots of people donated freely and generously on the evening. It also generated unexpected interest from other musicians who asked about hiring the church building for concerts. The priority of the concert series is to strengthen the outreach of the church, serve the local community, welcome people to the church and provide opportunities for people to engage with live music in a meaningful way.
