MISSION PARTNERSHIPS

Christ Church works with various local, national, and international charities. Alongside these, we also have two key mission partners. Our aim with our mission partners is to serve God together in ways we couldn't do by ourselves, recognizing that 'church' is far bigger than our own congregation.

Sutton Community Works

Sutton Community Works is our main local mission partner. Sutton Community works are a charity contributing to the transformation of the London borough of Sutton to a safe, healthy and flourishing community. They run projects such as night shelters, food banks, street pastors- and much more. See the Sutton Community Works website for more details.

Mechanics for Africa

We’re delighted to announce that we as a church have taken on Mechanics for Africa as our new overseas mission partnership. Mechanics for Africa is a Christian charity based in Zambia. As well as train young people in much-needed mechanical skills, they also bring a significant Christian input. As they put it on their website -

Our vision is not only to see people gaining new skills: much more than that, our vision is to see our students grow in the strength of character, being known as ambassadors of integrity, trustworthy in everything they do.

We as a church will now be supporting MfA financially, as well as praying regularly for them, and getting to know them, as they pray for us and get to know us as well. It means that when you give money to Christ Church, some of it will go to Mechanics for Africa. We'll be praying for them regularly, and hopefully will build up our fellowship together.
